Description:

Our purpose is to foster scholarly discourse on how AI technologies are transforming animation theory and practice, examining the aesthetic, creative, ethical, technical, and cultural implications of AI in animation.

The Animation and AI SIG will provide platforms for mutual mentorship and knowledge exchange between members, including the sharing of resources including relevant scholarship, teaching, technical and creative tools.

Through the connections made within the SIG and with the broader membership of the SAS, we will foster opportunities for international cooperation on research projects, conferences, and publications.
