The Society for Animation Studies presents three awards for scholarly work. The Norman McLaren/Evelyn Lambart awards for best book and article are presented on alternating years and are judged by a panel of peers. The Maureen Furniss Award for Best Student Paper on Animated Media is awarded annually to students.
