KLIK’s ten year anniversary edition brings a whirlwind of animation to Amsterdam. From 17 – 22 October the festival presents an exhilarating program of the best animated shorts from all over the world, feature films, workshops, inspiring talks by international animation heroes, and this year’s theme: Never Grow Up. KLIK is for all ages.

At the very heart of KLIK’s programming beats the international competition. KLIK selects only the cream of the crop for their carefully curated compilation programs. Categories of the international competition include Animated Shorts, Dutch Panorama, Political Animated Shorts, Emerging Animation Nations, Animated Music Videos, and Animation for Hire.

This year’s film-gems include the prize-winning feature film Wrinkles.

KLIK is also proud to announce that the internationally-acclaimed artist Daron Nefcy, creator and executive producer of the series Star vs. the Forces of Evil on Disney XD, will be amongst this year’s speakers to give you a look behind the scenes.

KLIK’s theme program Never Grow Up revisits notions of age and the expectations that often come with a certain stage in life. What does being grown up actually mean? What if you refuse to act your age? We invite you to take a closer look at the way we perceive and experience age through a selection of short film programs, feature-length movies and installations.
KLIK champions animation for all ages, which is why last day of the festival is reserved for a special Animated Shorts programs for kids ranging from age 5 to 55.

KLIK also strives to unite and inspire (aspiring) animation professionals. Filmmakers, producers and other professionals from the creative sector are gathered during the annual Consultation Hours and the Debutante Ball.

All work and no play is not their style. Keep your eyes open for KLIK’s crazy closing party, workshops, and inspiring talkshows with filmmakers from the international competitions.
